Helping Shape Denver’s New Soccer Stadium
As Denver prepares to welcome its new professional women’s soccer stadium, alumna and PhD candidate Jennifer Greiving MA '16 is helping ensure the surrounding community has a voice in what comes next. Her work helped shape a community agreement focused on neighborhood investment, youth opportunities, accessibility, and making the stadium a true community asset.
Vivian Vien ’25 put her own spin on the CU community this summer, designing four original Pokémon-inspired cards for FAN EXPO Denver. The professional illustrator created a unique “mon” for each CU campus, including a tech-inspired take on Milo for CU Denver, bringing together skills from her illustration degree and business minor.
Your Career Center Is Still Your Career Center
A CU Denver degree comes with career support that doesn’t expire. Whether it’s been two years or 20 since graduation, alumni can access free Career Center services, including career counseling, résumé and cover letter support, interview preparation, networking guidance, job-search strategies, and more.
For 150 years, the building now known as the Emmanuel Art Gallery has been a place for people to gather, build community, and experience art. Its newest exhibition, Come Together, celebrates that remarkable history, from its beginnings as an Episcopal church in 1876 to its role today as one of the Auraria Campus’ most distinctive landmarks.
Built to Last Until 2276: Alumnus Is Helping Preserve American History
Jay Nanninga ’11 helped engineer and fabricate the official America250 congressional time capsule, designed to protect pieces of American history for the next 250 years. His path to the historic project began with a NIST internship while he was still a CU Denver mechanical engineering student and grew into a career helping solve engineering challenges built to last centuries.
