Gillian Lazzarini, Director   

Gillian Lazzarini joined the University of Colorado Denver in February 2021. Gillian started as a DRS Coordinator and held multiple roles in the office before stepping into her current role as Director in September 2025.

Gillian received an Honors Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and Economics from Marquette University and a Master of Education in College Student Affairs Leadership from Grand Valley State University. Guided by her core values—authenticity, connection, and inclusion—Gillian works to create an environment where students can flourish academically, socially, and professionally. Her areas of interest include self-advocacy, mental health, and well-being, and Universal Design for Learning.

When Gillian is not in the office, she loves traveling, camping, knitting, rooting for the Detroit Lions, and spending time with friends and family.
