CIDE is proud of its association with Accessing Higher Ground: Accessible Media, Web & Technology. This conference is held annually in Denver, Colorado and hosts renowned speakers a wide scope of workshops, panels, and other events for accessibility professionals from around the world.
This year, the conference will take place November 16-20, and the organizers are now accepting proposals for sessions. The deadline for submission is April 29, 2026.
Accessing Higher Ground seeks proposals on topics such as:
- Accessible media
- Universal Design
- Best practices for web and media development
- Accessible curriculum
- Alternate format
- Artificial Intelligence
- Legal and policy issues, including ADA and 508 compliance
- Evidence-based research
- Other topics related to accessibility in higher education and other environments, including campus-wide or business-wide accessibility initiatives.

Besides 1 and 2-hr main conference sessions, we are also looking for 3-hr or 6-hr pre-conference proposals.
Proposal Submission

Speaker Discounts
- Out of state speakers receive a 10% discount on registration
- ATHEN and AHEAD members receive an additional 10% discount
- Pre-con speakers receive 50% discount for 3-hr sessions and 100% waiver for full-day workshops
