Designed for individuals beginning careers in software engineering and software development. This certificate requires a previous computer science or systems engineering degree. Students are expected to have a strong understanding of software development in terms of software construction, coding, and basic design.

Provides GES students with advanced training in sustainable urban agriculture by integrating university classroom study and field-based practicum conducted at the department's field research station. Students learn about the history of urban farming, the modern agro-food system, and sustainable urban agricultural practices.

Fulfills the increasing needs of educators seeking to broaden their content specialization and allows English master's candidates to specialize in an additional area of study. This does not grant state licensure but ensures competency for those already licensed, provides expertise documentation for those teaching in community colleges, and enables specialization for those with master's degrees in related fields.

Builds the necessary skills to teach adults English as a second language. The program is primarily aimed at native speakers of English who want to teach overseas, but it may also serve the needs of international students who want to teach English in their home country or other countries. Opportunities exist for internships at language schools.

Provides content-area teachers (math, science, social studies, etc.) with a foundation of teaching content for multilingual students. The certificate is also valuable to content-area coaches or administrators with a commitment to diversity and social justice, and who provide support for teachers with multilingual learners in K - 12 classrooms. Courses are offered synchronously and asynchronously.
