High School Concurrent Enrollment/Dual Enrollment

Advanced Placement (AP) Program

• College level courses taken in a high school that incorporate an exam at the end of the academic year.
• Visit the AP website, to send your scores to CU Denver. Make sure to add CU Denver as a recipient of your score report. CU Denver‘s ‘School Code’ is 4875.
• Receiving specific exam scores will allow you to receive college credit.

College-Level Examination Program (CLEP)

• Exams that cover introductory level college courses.
• Sign in to the College Board CLEP - Scores website. Make sure to add CU Denver as a recipient of your score report. CU Denver‘s ‘School Code’ is 4875.
• Receiving specific exam scores could allow you to receive college credit.

International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program

• Program offered at select high schools that is a rigorous, pre-university course of study emphasizing liberal arts from an international perspective.
• Go to International Baccalaureate -- Requests for Results Service. Make sure to add CU Denver as a recipient of your transcript. CU Denver’s ‘School Code’ is 01398.

• As soon as possible, submit your final, official transcript(s) from all colleges/universities you attended. To do so, you can use an electronic service such as Parchment or by working directly with the institution that hosted the CE/DE classes to send transcripts to CU Denver. 
  • Important Note - your high school will not submit transcripts for concurrent enrollment or dual enrollment, you’ll need to submit directly from the college/university. 
  • Failure to submit your final, official transcript(s) will result in a registration hold on your account. This hold will prevent you from registering for the upcoming semester.
• You will not be able to enroll in classes that depend on that transfer credit until the transcripts have been received and processed, which can take up to 30 days.
• Some classes transfer to CU Denver as direct equivalents, and some classes require additional information to be evaluated. Watch for communication from CU Denver regarding possible additional documentation.

• University Core Requirements are required for all students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in all seven of the schools and colleges on campus.
• When choosing courses or exams to meet these requirements, please be careful not to needlessly repeat coursework.
• Credit will be transferred for only one occurrence of a course or exam if they are equivalent to the same course at CU Denver or from another source.
